This is a collaboration with Libri Finti Clandestini, a 20th anniversary fanzine-style edition. Libri Finti Clandestini began work on this project in June 2026, celebrating the 20th anniversary of Alex Fakso’s Heavy Metal, originally published in 2006.

For this edition, Libri Finti Clandestini dismantled the original Heavy Metal and created five distinct versions of the book, each with approximately 25 pages. The original pages were supplemented with paper sourced from abandoned factories, paper mills, and printing labs. These were then overprinted multiple times using inkjet and toner printers, layered with replicas of train diagrams, plans, and graphics found in abandoned train depots, as well as unpublished photos by Alex Fakso.

Each copy of this edition was hand-assembled and bound, featuring a hand-printed cover, made possible with the support of 5X Letterpress.
